Group Training Sessions

Run Training

We meet every Monday and some Thursday at Hucknall Leisure Centre. We leave at 6.30pm, usually in 2 or 3 groups, so we can cater for most abilities. You really just need to be able to run a steady 4 miles to get the most out of this group (approx 10min/mile). We generally run for between 45 minutes and an hour at anywhere from 6 to 10 minute mile pace.

The Club regularly attends the timed 5K parkrun at Colwick Park. For more details, contact Chris.

Long run training is also available at week-ends, but this is subject to changes on a weekly basis, especially during the winter months.

Come along and join us it's free.

Swim Training

Indoor Pool Training: During the winter we aim to have some pool based swim session, but these tend to end during the summer as everyone moves outdoors

Every Sunday now

Open Water Training: April-August: there are a few options now taken up by members, mostly going to Colwick Country park more info can be found on the Facebook page "Nottingham city open water swimming centre  colwick country park"

other venues are The Lavender Patch, Hilton Derby on a Saturday morning run by MVH Tri, or Activities Away Lincoln who have several option per week

Cycle Training

Saturday ride leaves Hucknall Leisure Centre at 9.15am and then pick up at Lowdham Island at 10am, currently the Lowdham to Lowdham loop is 50ish miles at a brisk pace for winter 17-18mph this will rise as the weather improves to 20-22mph

On Sundays, there is a steadier ride from Hucknall Leisure Centre at 9am please check this is on before turning up as not everyweekend

During the Summer months, local time trials and Road races are great for fast training sessions, with members doing all sorts of different venues, again will be posted on the website once 2014 season is upon us.
